Yukata

I introduce about yukata. Yukata is Japanese traditional clothes. People wearing yukata are a common sight in Japan at fireworks events, bon-odori festivals, and other summer events. New design of yukata appears one after another every year. It is generally said that the big pattern’s yukata suit tall people and small pattern’s yukata suit small people. Yukata is not easy to wear, and it is hard to move, so if you wear yukata, you have to do graceful action. In Japan, there is such a proverb. “tateba syakuyaku, suwareba botan, aruku sugata ha yuri no hana.” It means that “she looks as beautiful as a peony, and when walking she looks as elegant as a lily”. I think if we wear the yukata, we can come up like the person. There seem to be many women’s yukata, but there are a lot of men's, too. So let's go for an event of the summer wearing a yukata. And let’s enjoy Japanese summer with yukata!
